Nigel's £15k for 'SAS' dog, The Sun - 17th February 2009

Furrari... Nigel Mansel and dogMOTOR racing legend Nigel Mansell has a four-legged "bodyguard" — a £15,000 superdog with SAS-style training.

Ex-F1 champ Nigel has total trust in Geisha, an Alsatian taught to protect the rich and famous.

The three-year-old pooch was given months of training to be a Personal Protection Dog.

She can take down three attackers at once and would stop a BULLET to save her owner’s life.

But she is friendly with Nigel’s pals and with children — essential for the grandad of one.

Nigel, 53, bought Geisha last year.

He flew from his home in Jersey to collect her after she underwent a refresher course with training firm A1K9 in Swansea, South Wales.

The 1992 Formula 1 World Champion, who won 31 Grand Prix races, said: "She’s my pride and joy and the perfect addition to my family. "

"It’s comforting to know that she’s around."

Celebs are queuing up to buy the dogs to protect them from robbers, burglars and knife thugs.

They are trained to be normal pets — but leap into action on command.
